Chromalox Cartridge heaters are an extraordinarily versatile and durable product that is used to heat a myriad different processes from heavy industrial – plastics and packaging applications to critical care medical devices and analytical test instruments to being used on aircrafts, railcars and trucks. Cartridge heaters are capable of operating at temperatures of up to 1400F and achieving watt densities of up to 260 watts per square inch. Available from stock or custom manufactured to your individual application need, they are available in many different imperial and metric diameters and lengths with many different style terminations, wattage and voltage ratings. Electric Stud Heater Cartridge Heater- CBH

  • Type CBH is constructed of rugged tubular element with a metal sleeve.
  • Accurate Diameter provides proper clearance into standard drill hole sizes.
  • Large Bolts or Studs may be expanded and tightened with a wrench providing “shrink fit tightness” when cool.
  • CBH Heaters are generally used in sets to permit uniform tightening of mating parts.

Heavy Duty Cartridge Heater- C-HD

  • Type C-HD is a high quality cartridge heater for medium and low watt density applications.
  • Available in 15/16, 1, and 1-19/64″ diameter, sheath lengths up to approximately 2 feet.

1/8 – 1.25″ Dia. Cartridge Heater- CIR

  • Leads can be bent at right angle near the heater without exposing bare wire, therefore eliminating electrical shorts.
  • Sheath Material- Type CIR cartridge heaters are made with a high-temperature INCOLOY® or Stainless Steel sheath material.
  • High Temperature Leadwire- Up to 842°F (450°C).
  • Lead Length- Type CIR cartridge heaters are stocked with 14″ long leads. Longer lead lengths can be readily spliced on.

Heavy Duty Cartridge Heater- CTRH

  • Type CTRH is an extra high quality electric cartridge heater for applications involving hot plates, molds, dies, platens and container heating.
  • Available in 0.553″ and 0.663″ diameter sheath lengths up to 4.5 feet.
  • 50 – 55 W/In² to heat materials up to 800°F.

Edison Screw Base Space Cartridge Heater- SCB

  • 3/8″ Dia. Cartridge heaters can be sleeved to fit 1/2 and 5/8″ diameter holes, allowing one diameter to fit most applications.
  • 3/4″ I.D. Sleeves permit installation of type CIR high watt density heaters in 1-1/4″ diameter holes to replace old style large diameter heaters.
  • Makes Removal of heaters easier. No more drilling, hammering, etc.
  • Made of Steel, these pressed power metal sleeves have been designed and fully tested to assure proper transfer of heat from the cartridge heater to the work.
  • 800°F Maximum Work Temperature
