Summary

Thermal Devices is proud to offer Tempco Hi-Density and Low Density Cartridge Heaters. Hi-Density Cartridge Heaters are manufactured using a high purity Magnesium Oxide (MgO) powder as the insulating material. This insulating powder is compacted by swaging to increase the thermal conductivity and the dielectric strength of the heater. Benefits of this process are manufacturing high watt density heaters without sacrificing life expectancy. Low Density Cartridge Heaters are an economical alternative to using Hi-Density cartridge heaters in applications requiring lower watt densities and operating temperatures up to 1200ºF (650ºC). Product Description

Some typical applications for Tempco cartridge heaters are turbines, large compressors, and even bag sealing.
