Linear and angular position transducers allow for the detection of the position of moving mechanical parts. Absolute position detection occurs in real-time thanks to potentiometric technology where the resistive track and collector are electrically connected via direct contact brushes, mounted on a slider, which serves as the physical source of the position. The body of the position transducers is made from various materials such as anodized aluminum, stainless steel AISI 316, or PBT plastic loaded with fiberglass, where the latter is a polymer mainly used in the automotive sector, resistant to UV rays, saline mists, acids, and other aggressive agents. Gefran potentiometers are voltage dividers powered from 1 to 60Vdc. Linear position transducer in aluminum with a diameter of 12.7mm, without a drive shaft, completely waterproof (IP67) designed to operate in wet environments (CEI EN 60529). The PME series is characterized by an external magnetic actuator or slider coupled with an internal measuring slider where the magnetic slider replaces the drive shaft used in traditional position transducers, eliminating additional bulk (patent pending).
