Linear and angular position transducers allow for the detection of the position of moving mechanical parts. Absolute position detection occurs in real-time thanks to potentiometric technology where the resistive track and collector are electrically connected via direct contact brushes, mounted on a slider, which serves as the physical source of the position. The body of the position transducers is made from various materials such as anodized aluminum, stainless steel AISI 316, or PBT plastic loaded with fiberglass, where the latter is a polymer mainly used in the automotive sector, resistant to UV rays, saline mists, acids, and other aggressive agents. Gefran potentiometers are voltage dividers powered from 1 to 60Vdc. The PC67 self-aligning transducer has been developed to ensure a high degree of protection (IP67) in applications in harsh and outdoor environments, where it may be necessary to operate in direct presence of dust, debris, or liquids (not for prolonged immersion). The robust structure, typical of the PC series, has been further enhanced through a patented sealing system, making it unique in terms of long-term reliability. Ideal for applications where installation is required in positions particularly exposed to lubricating substances or glycol water. Also suitable for machines used in material processing where it is not possible to protect the transducer with suitable covers. Environmental protection rating IP67. Measurement strokes from 50 to 1000 mm.
